It's plausible as the flow requires 2 years as captain and since the person will be upgrading out of seniority it will start their clock much sooner than their new hire peers They will have the potential to flow ahead of their natural seniority as long as delta keeps hiring the max

I'm in that situation. They told me 4 years. But it's a recruiter, so who knows?

"Start their clock". Is flow based on your date of upgrade, not just straight seniority?

Have to serve as captain for 24 months before being eligible to flow

Not 100% true for CAP. If you are a captain that hasn’t served 24 months. It goes to the next guy. If he has 24 months he goes before you.

seniority means nothing and the union certainly doesn't seem to care anyway.

sure that would certainly be a qualifying exception. But the basic question was whether or not it’s in seniority order which it is. But good point

I’ve been gone a while so was wondering why seniority wouldn’t play a part anymore. Weren’t you in the first group to receive flow notices in seniority order?
