Default Withheld pay

There is a nasty rumor floating around the LUS side that as of the August permanent bid, if we are withheld, we will not be paid at our higher awarded rate (ie going from group 1 to group 2 aircraft) on our effective bid date. Rather we will be paid at our current group rate until we start training.

Reading the JCBA I found this which I think disproves this rumor.

This is from the JCBA 17, M, 4

4. Effective Date Of Withholding Pay
a. A pilot will be considered withheld commencing with the effective date of the bid status
position from which withheld, and shall as of that date, be paid the highest equipment rate
of pay for the bid status from which withheld or the rate of pay for the flying actually
performed, whichever is greater.
b. Such pilot shall be advised at the time of withholding the reason for withholding and the
estimated duration of withholding.
c. Pilots being withheld shall retain their current bid status.

Any LAA pilots care to chime in since I'm pretty sure this was what you had before. Are we paid at our higher rate on our effective bid date? Or if withheld are we paid at our current rate until training?
