I think in the future award dates will be further out and training will be done by that date. Can any LAA guys chime in with how far in advance your awards are. At LUS they are about 2 months and 1 week in advance and since I've been here I haven't heard of anyone even beginning training before the effective date.

AA - The awards are about 1.5 months before the effective date. Training starts befoe the effective date.

The July awards were finalized about 10 day ago. Everyone starts training in June. Ok, there's the rare exception where you won't start your training the month prior to your award date.

'Job preference' bid runs early in the month. IE early May for the July award. Awards finalized about 10 days after the awards close(ie May 15th ish). Training is assigned around the 20th for the June training.

This is all bad info. The East 98 vacancy section of the contract is still in place for this bid, per the APA email that came out with this bid. You will be paid the new higher rate Aug 1 regardless.

The JCBA language for this has not been implemented yet.

so, if the majority wants FCFS aka the USAir IVR we should have kept it right?

The jumpseat is company property. They call the shots. We've had this discussion before so lets move on.

sure is. But it's APA that bullocked it up. Besides, I was referring to what the majority of a group want, not what one despotic wannabe Führer wants!

What does the majority want? Who's the Fuehrer you're talking about?

RE: LAA Withhold Pay

Pay begins the effective date of the bid run and has nothing to do with when training actually occurs. ie: If awarded a bid vacancy effective July 2, 2015, however you are withheld from that vacancy until a future date, say November 2015, you will be paid your new rate effective July2, 2015.

Thanks for the reply.

That's what I was looking for and what I thought. This bid doesn't affect me anyway, I was just curious.
