Default CLT Ramada Plaza for Training

I got CQT coming up and it looks like I'll be staying there for 3 nights. Just looked at the reviews on Yelp and it looks terrible. Roach infestation for one...anyone been there and can provide some insight?

thx

I'm looking forward to the LAA guys staying in some of our hotels. I Think they have managed to change a few of the bad ones already. Someone state on the pilot board that there are two hotels in that complex. The reservations are not for the ramada. Don't let them put you in that hotel.

What happened to the Crowne Plaza? That is a nice hotel, figures we're out of it.

We might not be out of it. They use a lot of hotels here. I'm in the Hyatt House for initial which is great. A two room suite with a full kitchen and nice staff.

I think it all depends on the whims of training scheduling. I did 2 1/2 weeks at the doubletree for 757 systems then back at the Hyatt House a week later for 2 days for the international stuff. Both good hotels.

The Ramada/Clarion is a crap hole. The only good thing is that you can walk to the Old Mecklenburg brewery, about a mile away. Drink the stout and you'll have to walk back anyway.

West pilots stay at the Clarion for the short overnights. I'm glad I won't be doing those anymore.

Don't you get paid for fatigue calls? It's in your contract. Thanks to Yelp you have a mountain of evidence that proves the hotel is a dump. Tell them that due to the inadequate rest facilities provided you could not get proper rest. Maybe that's how the LAA guys get the sh_#tty hotels changed. It involves putting your foot down.

LAA guys put their foot down? Ha, only to step on someone junior to them. I kid, I kid.

It's not kidding if it's the truth. APA is laughable.
