Of the 40 additional delivery options United has, they have only executed 5 for 2016 at this time. I am not sure if that is fiscal year 2016 or calendar year 2016--I posted a link to a FlightGlobal article about it in this thread a few pages back.
Given the present staffing environment, I could see UAL awarding us more EJets in increments of 5. They seem to have learned from their recent problems with Republic--i.e. if you drop a huge amount of flying on one company in this environment too quickly, you can create an "impossible to staff" situation.
United seems to have become very cautious about regional staffing issues--I don't think it's a coincidence that they finalized the initial 30 EJets with Mesa a few days after we had a couple of large new hire classes with a show-rate of 80-90%.
I have also heard JO is becoming wary of overcommitting the company as well. A "5 EJets a quarter" strategy would make perfect sense, and that's backed up with the Embraer order books and press coverage.
