I remember talking to a senior FO in SLC. He said he always bids for standups. He gets to stay at home during the day with his family and spend time with the kids. When its time for work, they are already in bed. He leaves late, sleeps in a hotel, returns early and has the rest of the day to enjoy. He painted a pretty picture but what do I know? I've never done one.
