Yes - in a similar fashion there are a lot of the Czech L-39's around in this country; I peripherally know a person who flies it, ejection seats disabled. You'd have to be a special kind of crazy to strap one of those to your back as a personal operator IMO. But it takes all types.

Sorry to hear about that, I'm unfamiliar with how the Tucano flies but wing loading, speeds and overall specs make it look like a more reasonable plane. Horner sounded quite experienced.
