The CEO is not our friend. His job is to keep our costs down. That is the direct opposite of our goal. We are not on the same team when negotiating a contract. Unfortunately our union does not understand that and gets owned because of it. If our pilot group really feels this was a slap to our face, we would vote it down. If I was CEO, I would come back with a worse offer. That puts all the pressure on us. A strong group would vote down the second offer 100-0 to gain leverage and put it back on him.
