"By the way, you think Richard Anderson wouldn't try to mend fences if the numbers start slipping and stock is trending downward as a result?"
Bravo, Otto, you totally get it. To much to loose for Delta. They have big commitments to top shareholders and wall street, but more to a big deal I think is in the works, On YOUR BACK.They would be behind closed doors in 5 mins imo

"I don't know what the outcome of the vote will be, but clearly I hope and pray it will be voted down.
As I've said before this should never have been TA'd. I have contacted everyone with whom I'm connected. Email, linkedin, phone, etc. there is nothing more I can do except vote no.
If it's voted down, we start with a clean slate and do section 6 the way it's supposed to be done. No quick back room Donatelli deals."
ahhhhh, you mean Donatelli won't be up for National election ?

No. Clearly the letter is a vent and a rant. We are dealing with people here. There is emotion involved because we were set up for a big win. Instead, we got a rock.
I don't know what the outcome of the vote will be, but clearly I hope and pray it will be voted down.
There is miscalculation on the part of the company here and significant squandered goodwill. Anger is a natural response. The anger is somewhat misplaced IMO. It should fall squarely at the feet of the people who we pay 1.9% of our income to for representation.

I am still in awe at how much we were lied to leading up to this.

No, in fact you make sure he feeds from the profit sharing trough before the minions have a chance. Well, at least this TA feels that's the route to go.

I agree with you in a very small way about the letter. I wouldn't tell Anderson he was a bad leader, or the things I decided I would, or wouldn't do. Mainly, because it's counter-productive Mainly, because I know no one is perfect.
But, I would have no problem telling him, face to face, that the term within this TA was a bad mistake. All it does is insult an employee group that has bent over backwards for Delta. It's punitive, and concessionary, instead of positive and rewarding.
I've "met" him several times, and he remembered me each time, after the first, and I don't think he would get all bent out of shape about it.
He's not that kind of guy. If the TA is voted down, I hope he stays and gets involved in the negotiations, personally.
Now, as for the screamer, my fellow Chicagoan? All I can say is, he must be a Cubs fan. I have my thoughts as to how he would handle criticism, too. In fact, I've seen it on video.
If the TA is voted down, I believe he has got to go.

Ha! And I said it to you face to face, too.
