No 500 hour pilot is EVER going to refuse to fly a jet of any size. The only pilots who have a shot at controlling this are the mainline guys...it's probably too late for 50-seat scope, but maybe they could roll it back to 69 seats? ALPA are you listening? The regional guys would mostly be OK with that cuz they don't get paid a great deal more to fly 90 seaters.
