Someone was arguing about that on here earlier. I'm simply defending myself and the plentiful ranks of Mesa pilots who do have college degrees from "real" schools, and those of us who have "real" graduate degrees/career experience.
And as I stated earlier, I completely agree with you--higher education has evolved into an archaic, baseless, essentially fraudulent enterprise that finances high-paying administrative salaries through slave labor by foreign graduate students and "no questions asked" Federal student loan money, saddled on the backs of naive rural and inner city youth.
It is absolutely insane that we live in a society where someone can borrow $100,000 at a ~4% interest rate with zero credit check--to get a BA, MA, and PhD in philosophy or Art History, but if you want to go do flight training--something that directly leads to a job--nooooooooooo, that's not allowed, because aviation didn't exist in ancient Rome, or when Oxford and Cambridge and the Sorbonne were churning out scholarly gentlemen in the Renaissance.
Sigh.
When are they announcing that we're getting the 18 additional EJets in April 2016?
