It probably still worked out for him. If he bought a house over two years ago in Denver he will make money on it plus the company gets to move him out. He drove to work in Den for a couple of years and made some coin in real estate...could be worse.
Yeah, but it's all over now. Kids in school. Kids out of school. Wife upset. And where are you gonna buy? Houses have went up other places as well. Yeah.. moving is sooo awesome.
Bottom line in Denver....you can throw gear or commute to XXX. Otherwise pack your sheet and get out. That is reality unless you've got some serious seniority. I'm not gloating as I am in the same boat. But you have to admit, there is a little SWEET JUSTICE involved here.
