He agreed to freezing the retirement and a 32.5% pay cut, the E170/175 at DCI and gutting work rules.
John is very intelligent. I suspect that given the funding reality on the frozen plan he would have done what Moak did. Try and extract the maximum value from the termination for every pilot.
USAIR fought their termination to the end and ended up with nothing except the PBGC minimums. Their plan was better funded then ours.
