So you are thankful that a person who may or may not fly (and who probably doesn't fly for the company) says you're a good enough pilot. Personally, I'm more interested in what coworkers believe to be important skills since that's who I'll fly with. There's nothing wrong with getting hired with low time, it's all about how you handle it. If a 300-hour guy gets hired and is sharp, people will be impressed. If he makes bad decisions and is difficult to work with, the same people will wonder how he got hired.
