BTW, if you have an opportunity that others don't because of your gender or race, by all means take that opportunity! You'd be silly not to, and I'm sure any of us would do the same.
But don't be like the former FO at my regional who recently got hired at the local major with 15% of the normal competetive minimums...then came back to the regional crewroom talking sh*t....everybody knew why she got hired ahead of thousands of more qualified applicants, and it wasn't because of her phenominal aviation abilities...
