I wouldn't mind them working to destroy the regionals, and there'd be a few viable ways to do it, but setting a minimum standard for reasonable and livable that all regional contracts must adhere to would be sufficient too.

If tomorrow ALPA said they wouldn't sign off on any regional contract where rates were below $50 for FO's and $100 for Captains, what would happen? Could an ALPA pilot group vote something in below that per ALPA rules? If not, why wasn't this done years ago?
