How are seats awarded? Hired for one or the other or are options presented during training? If so, how are the options awarded? Age? SSN? Alphabetical? Random? Where you're seated in the classroom (I've heard that's how they assign F/A seniority!)?
I can't say for sure how it is now, but when I was hired I was told for sure it would be the 757/767 (we still had 75's then) and I ended up in the DC-10. *POURS OUT A LITTLE LIQUOR*
My class was awarded seniority number based on numbers out of a hat, however I've heard that may have changed, and I'm not sure about the current system.
Someone said earlier that the 777 guys get a ton of time at home, and that may be true, but they also spend a lot of time chasing airplanes around the world in coach and holding things down at the hotel. I think I posted earlier how few days I worked earlier this year (I'm on the 76) and now that we're super busy I've been on the road for all of my days but I've been flying.
