basing has little correlation to money though. Just because an area is rich does not mean it will be a good pilot base. Quite the opposite actually. Depsite what we think of as a lot of money airlining is actually quite cheap to the company as CS spent less than 2 mil last year airlining pilots. That is nothing. Really it would not be too difficult to open up every major international airport as a base but they dont have to as long as the apps come in. I will be curious to see how the domicile issue transforms as the need for qualified pilots increase
