1+) The Saab has one of the best aircraft safety records out there.
2+) The Saab is so basic that it is very dependable.
3+) The Saab has traditionally had better schedules than the jet, meaning more efficient pairings, more money earned (as an FO), and more days off.
4+) The Saab also has better schedules, because there are more of them, leading to more choice and variety.
5-) The seats in the Saab are horrible.
6-) The Saab smells like a locker room.
7-) Lack of an APU is about the biggest drawback to the Saab.
8+) When you upgrade, it will be into the Saab, so you may as well learn it (and it's associated airports) now.
But if you'd rather fly a jet, no problem. Just don't say that you're only willing to fly the jet in the interview, as that would not demonstrate good judgment.
