So for instance if your position is to fly the phenom 300 and 100 they would pay for your type in the 100. Also if you do not have a complete written before the rule change they will pay for the ATP/CTP. There are talks of a "retention" plan in the form of a possible 10 and 5 company wide schedule as well as raises across the board. VSIpegged may have it right though. They are behind and scheduling has actually had to turn down flights due to a shortage of pilots. So moving everyone to a 10/5 would require excess pilots in comparison to now. There seems to be hope and talk of the decisions happening within the month.
I just don't see any significant improvements to offset what other employers can do. Pay may help slow things down but there needs to be improvements to even the 10/5 schedule, health insurance and 401k. EAS is not a career position every aspect of it is below industry average. The only draw are direct entry captain positions and being able to hire SICs at 1200hr instead of 1500. Most people stay 1-2 years and lately there have been a few that only lasted a few months.
