Since this thread is still going, I might as well ask this question: I've always wondered about women's airline uniforms. They've always seemed, well, masculine. I've seen female airline pilots wearing the "male" uniform hats and sometimes even the "male" necktie (although most wear the blouse tab). I've wondered why airline uniforms for the women pilots weren't modeled more after the women's military dress uniforms, with different "female" hats and prehaps even an over-blouse shirt option (as comapred to the tuck-in blouse). (obviously, skirts would be very impractical for piloting.) Anyone have an answer??
