Yes, the media has reported this although I'm guessing that it's off the radar because nobody was injured/killed.
The reason I posted this was to highlight that:
- The NTSB reported over 300 runway incursions nationwide in 2006
- Not all runway incursion hotspots are charted (TWY D and RWY 9L in FLL is not).
Ever fly into LGB? That place is a circus for runway incursions. SNA too. I've been asked to go around at SNA 3 times; 2 of those times was in the same attempts to land. LOL I wonder what's going on in the tower sometimes.
