Sorry to say, but the brazilian airlines' paychecks stated above are waaaaaaaay under 11K USD ! Maybe when the BRL/USD exchange rate was 2:1... Right now, a GOL or TAM captain is taking home something around 4,5K USD net (5,74K gross).

And that quite answers why so many brazilian pilots are heading to china and middle east... The cost of living went up and the salaries remained quite the same, thus, the income is buying less and less

By the way, there are quite few brazilians in Copa, but they went there after GOL took over Webjet. What looked like not the best option a few years ago, is shining bright right now for those who made the move, as I heard that the cost of living in Panama is fairly low.
