A "pref interview" is usually a completely different matter.
It doesn't affect what was already planned for XJT well over a year ago. UAL was pulling the planes from them regardless.

See above, this announcement isn't anything new for XJT. As mentioned, it's simply a reshuffling of planes that XJT lost long, long ago.
With the entitlement generation we see today I'm surprised it's as restrictive as it is. I'm really surprised date of birth isn't demanded as their seniority date. After all they have been in the industry for 2 years...... It's their turn to skipper the 777. "What.... You mean I don't have weekends off as a line holder with commutable trips? That's BS".
