Take a moment to be human and remember back to some of the silly crap you said and did when your logbook was in the triple digits.
And guess what? If you think that wasn't you, you're THAT guy. And probably STILL saying dumb crap. *****ing about those "Barbie jets." Complaining loudly on the employee bus about how you got screwed out of your meal by the evil flight attendant. About how rough your life is. "But, hey, at least I don't have to come back to work at this ___hole for three weeks!" As the rampers who just worked a twelve hour day and are coming back to do it again tomorrow just sit there shaking their heads.
Optimism, youth and folly are to be smiled at and indulged. Remember, you wore their shoes once. And if you can't find anything to identify with when you encounter these fledgling aviators? Do the rest of us a favor and retire. Enjoy your fourth wife before she ends up with same mental illness that afflicts the rest of your exes.
Your are right... I did complain about the "Barbie Jet" but that could be because of two furloughs that kept me on the street for 7 1/2 years. The rest doesn't really describe the generation of pilots I was hired with. It's funny how the media has nick named the younger generation of the work force that is coming along now as the "Me Generation".
