I don't even bring it up with ones I keep in contact with because of the concern it may harm their careers. I knew the original IIC from when he did general aviation accidents. He was replaced after a few months into the TWA investigation and has since retired. Another acquaintance at the board's lab was demoted and sidelined for just being willing to discuss all possibilities. It should be noted that the managing director of the NTSB who is currently defending their report comes from a public relations background and has no aviation experience, or any other transportation experience, at all.
