Captain...cut the guy some slack. Nobody is questioning your godliness. Worstpilotever was just making the point that the only baseline they have to work off is the way they were taught in training. There was a thread a few months ago about using Flaps 25 and autobrakes as the SOP. That was news to me...I've never seen anything other than flaps 30 and brakes off. I just did a landings class this weekend and the PI said they went thru a short time where they were pushing that in training. Now he says they are going back to flaps 30 as the SOP. Just one small example of a dis-connect that might be confusing to a new guy hitting the line.
You came across a bit obtuse. I'm sure the new hires just want to learn their new job and fit in.
