75-85 hours a month on reserve? lol. I flew like 3 times last month. It comes Down to company to company and generally you fly a leg somewhere and then double Dead head back to base. The 4 day trips are not as common as one would think.
What airline are you flying for? Feel free to PM me if thats easier. My goal is to get a base in PHL once I have my ratings and 1500, and work as few days/possible at first. The first few years I need to make money on the side to afford bills. I don't mind flying a dash8 or smaller jet (awac/pdt).
