I do want to say that if you live in a city that you are tied to that has another regional I would consider that other regional. Republic does close bases more often than other airlines so it won't create a stable living environment. Also, with Republic cutting the number of aircraft deliveries combined with the number of lifers Republic has the list is going to stagnate a little (compared to other places). If your husband just needs to check the 121 box before he goes to a major then Republic might be a decent choice.
