I've only had trouble commuting once in the past year. It really isn't as bad as many have made it out to be. It sucks sometimes to end your trip with a 5 leg day and have to run across the airport to catch the last flight home... But as long as I get home I don't care. I've never had to come in the night before, although I think I may have one trip later this month that I may have to.

As far as traveling for vacation, it's not too bad either. As other have said, be smart about when you go. Avoid weekends if possible, and try and travel during "off seasons". Avoid summers and the holidays. Spring before school gets out and fall after school starts seem to be the best times.
