FWIW, in the past
10 years E190 parking lines have been painted at several domestic airports and each time it caused a stir and nothing happened. In many cases it was done by the local airport authority that was out painting lines at all the gates on the field with multiple plausible types.

This particular rumor is not new and seems to pop up every few months. Not saying it's not true, but it hasn't happened for several years now.
