In return, the MEC has agreed to give Endeavor more control over the OE scheduling process, as well as an earlier report time for pilots as they start their day.
This agreement gives Endeavor the fuel it needs to grow our airline aggressively in 2016, while creating unprecedented career progression opportunities for all of our pilots. Starting in January, we will begin growing our fleet to at least 134 aircraft, upgrading more than 300 First Officers, and aim to hire 60 pilots a month throughout 2016.
I’d like to send my thanks to the pilot group and the MEC for their support in getting this deal done. Have a great weekend and safe travels to those of you on the road for the holidays."
Now the question remains...will they be able to pull this off?
Well, Richard Anderson said during their investor call the other day that Endeavor has delivered a business plan that works, and until they prove otherwise, I wouldn't bet against them.
There are going to be formers and haters who will root for the systemic failure of 9E, but I'm certainly not going to doubt them. Have you seen their performance numbers versus some of the other carriers out there? Shoot...given the places they fly and STILL hitting 100% CCF? Remarkable.
Good people, innovative approach to maintenance, and a growing fleet....plus this pay package...might be time to evaluate where my career is taking me!
