Because EAS set their schedule and business model prior to the effects of the pilot shortage and before the implementation prior to their implementation of the ASTRO optimization program. The 10/5 schedule is still crappy and draconian compared to other operators, but at least it is a step in the right direction. My analogy is that a bus load of pretty, friendly girls has just showed up at the Riddle dance, and the mean ones who've been running the dance don't know what to do with the newfound competition..
