The hell if I know. I was told it was Delta policy to separate FA's and pilots.
Hint: It's not. Sometimes we layover with them, sometimes we don't. They do completely different trips as they can swap around between aircraft types and have different work rules.
There was a group of pilots wives pushing for that back in the late 90s but it never really took.
