It is amazing how much the interviewing process has changed in the last 18 months. I know that they changed the written test (a new gouge is available, make sure that you have the right info), a few people have reported that they were made to do a sim, but only a few. At first, it was believed that they were street captains (DEC's) that they were making do the sim.

Also, for a few months, it was reported that only half of the pilots that were interviewed were hired. I know in my interview group, all were hired and showed up to class except for 1 guy, and he was really bad. My interview group was pretty good, though, with all experienced pilots that had no trouble with training or line flying afterwards.

It has been said that AAG is taking a more active role in recruiting and hiring at their WO'd regionals. They have set standards that have to be followed.

As of right now, I do not think it is too hard to get hired at PSA.

My advice, read the gouges on line, read "Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot" - cover to cover at least twice, go in with a clean suit or at least a shirt and tie, and act like you want to be there.

If they ask how you studied for the interview, tell them that you talked to people that had interviewed previously and read the gouges. That is an indication that you put forth some effort and want to be there. The written test is a game designed to see who puts time in before the interview to research the company.
