Either we take back control of our union (ie membership votes for leadership directly and stop national from creating their own graveytrain or we get a new union, plain and simple.

For the sake of this discussion, let's say we are able to throw the bums out at national and put some people in that fight for the everyday airline pilot, what are some resolutions we should put forth to make certain what has happened, never happens again?

Let me start:

1. Term Limits. You cannot serve at local or national for greater than 3 years without going back to flying the line for at least 3 years in between.

2. The president only gets a pension if 80% or greater of the membership get a pension.

3. Something to prevent sleeping with management we have seen with some recent leadership furthering their own personal ambitions.

4. The ALPA president does not get paid based upon an airplane not currently flying in any ALPA fleet (ie A380).

5. ?
