I think your points about the -300 are well taken. In fact the rumor is exactly what you're saying...outfit the airplanes with a first class section for a long term subservice contract. In fact, it could go like the former CAL service from EWR - Mumbai. Two airplanes dedicated to the program to provide daily service.
But that's all wild rumor and speculation.
