I reckon it's the other way round: there won't be a 'Legacy' carrier in 10 years in it's current form. The Regionals will keep getting bigger aircraft and taking over routes and will continue to pay less in salaries... Why would American buy an airline like PSA? So they can 'grow' it and shrink the mainline. We call it "white anting" (destruction from within) in Australia. Just my opinion.
