Good move. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the 900 is a truly pleasant airplane to fly, and you probably won't have to buy as many pilot shirts as frequently if you are on the 900!
However, seniority is more important than anything else. Always take the first class you can, unless you have family issues or something else more important to you in the long run.
Also, you'll earn more as an FO in the Saab.
The true upside for you however, is you will have time to enjoy your job before you have to summer fly in the Saab!
