My sim schedule was 9pm-2am for the first couple then 5pm-10pm, Noon-5pm, 2 day break then back for 5am-10am twice, 9am-2pm and then the checkride 8am-2pm, LOFT was 5am-9am. Almost all your sim time will be in the clouds, mostly day and almost all the approaches will be down to about 50' above mins and just enough vis. Don't worry about that though, you don't have much time to worry about what is going on outside--just fly the instruments and work on your scan. The people who have trouble are the ones who fixate but the instructors are very good and will work through any issues you have. We only had one guy washout of the sim and he was a nervous wreck going in so have fun--when else do you get to play and $18.5 million video game
