It basically came across as you all better give or we'll know who didn't and we'll talk to you about it. One person did not elect to give any money as their significant other already does and they were pulled aside and questioned as to why. That left a bad impression of intimidation for those who came from non union operators. It shouldn't have felt like that.
You sound like the former Skywest guy that rode in the jumpseat a little while back to SFO. He was all PROUD about coming from a non-Union carrier. That raised my eyebrows a little but the accusation that the female ALPA PAC volunteer that talked to his class intimidated and coerced a 100% participation rate. That was a little hard to believe - which I told this half-winger.
