Lots of good, cheap housing in metro Detroit. Some of the nicest and most wealthy towns are in the Detroit metro area.
The bad areas are really bad. Everything else is average or really great. A lot of guys live in Canton, Royal Oak, Taylor, or Novi areas.
Northville, Birmingham, Beverly Hills, Royal Oak, Bloomfield Hills, Grosse Point. And Rochester are probably the nicest suburbs. Some of those places are really expensive, others not so much.
