My thought process to this is why accept this low ball deal. If we want to attract and retain new hires, start with fixing the issues at the company first. Make the QOL better with more efficient trips, no more scheduling abuse and manipulation, reserve grid manipulation, simple commuter incentives, at least one more commutable base, etc. All in addition to better pay rates. Why not do away with a bonus and raise pay rates across the board.

The problem with this is that PSA is a business. Until we have a problem keeping current pilots why would AA give us more? As much as it sucks that's bad business. Our problem now is new hires so it only make good financial sense for AA or PSA to put money into new hires. All of PSA pilots want to be on par with the rest of the regionals but until people start leaving why would money be given to people willing to stay for the current amount?
