I had 1,000 hrs when hired, you are thinking of all the Eagle pilots that got hired without their commercial multi and only 250 hrs back in 2008 when (shockingly) they couldn't get enough new hires. I did earn it because the FAA said you need 1,000 SIC hours just to attempt to upgrade while those senior to me did not earn enough SIC time yet. You would have loved being stuck in the right seat for 10 years you say? You are already complaining and saying captains haven't earned their upgrade and you've been flying 121 for what 1 year? Why not just sit back and love your time as an FO now instead of complaining about not getting a bonus?
