2005 is as irrelevant as the regulated days when a Captain could buy a Cadillac on a month's pay. The bankruptcy laws are heavily tilted against us, and we got predictably crushed. DALPA weathered the storm better than any airline pilot group.
Far too many pilots especially those who frequent forums simply don't want to acknowledge the reality of political and industrial landscape. Please point me to the pilot union that has done a better job. I am all ears.
