Like Delta, we had them at TWA. Very fast, sexy, and when those RB211s started, the triple spools had a distinctive tone to them.

Unfortunately, with all the smoke that came out of them, they'd have to change the ATIS because the field would go IMC.

yea, i never got to fly it. but it was my favorite. it was very senior at Delta. We still have a sim and i get to play with that every now and then. I love the twin elevators down to the galley (with a kitchen to make any restaurant proud) and the thumb role trim wheels on the yoke. I was born much to late. as far as fast, i was jump seating (in the best jumpseat view in all of aviation) and we were level cruising at .89.
