Deez,
The Lockheed was a beautiful jet, with an enomorous cockpit. For its' time-the early 70s- it had a wonderful autoflight system with true autoland capabilities.
Like Delta, we had them at TWA. Very fast, sexy, and when those RB211s started, the triple spools had a distinctive tone to them.
Unfortunately, with all the smoke that came out of them, they'd have to change the ATIS because the field would go IMC.

I was born much to late. as far as fast, i was jump seating (in the best jumpseat view in all of aviation) and we were level cruising at .89.
