I'm just curious...What is the name of the firearm crew members carry who have gone through the Flight Deck Officer Training?

The TYPE of weapon is SSI and needs to be removed. If this isn't off by tommorrow this will be copied to TSA.
I'm not going to sit by and watch this program threatened because some curious lurker wants to know and some idiot actually answered.

that was my whole point in asking why "she" needed this info.
"it's a big gun and it's carried by highly-trained FFDO's" should suffice as an answer and the moderators need to remove any answer that goes beyond that.
"PilotsWife" could be a terrorist or some TSA troll trying to screw up the FFDO program. the next "innocent" question might be about FAM's and how many of them are there and how often, etc.
moderators, please?

Okay guys...
I'll remove the info. I agree that loose lips sink ships. But as a fact, the type of weapon carried is not SSI (I know since I was told by the FFDO administrator when I personally went through training.) The truth of the matter is, if you look around you can find it pretty easily. It's no secret.
PS. You'll have to get the moderator to remove the stuff in the quoted post.
I can post that, "The firearm that TSA has selected for the FFDO program is a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol." http://www.tsa.gov/public/display?theme=47&content=403 (Note that it's right off the TSA website). Don't get your panties in a bunch over an already known fact.

Also, direct the TSA to their own web site that talks about the program in much more detail than I'll allow here.
As I mentioned before, the type weapon is public knowledge. Information on how the weapon is deployed will not be tolerated on this forum.
