Word from some one that was there is that they would like up the flow but can't because we won't be able to staff the planes. CAs won't be getting retention bonuses because it doesn't make good business sense. The company will see if their bonus programs work and if not they will do what they need to do to attract new hires. Also Doug apparently made a point that he only cares about how cheap the wholly owns are and giving them more money won't make them cheap. Good thing we turned down those bonuses...
Two thoughts:
1) Is this the same Doug Parker who only about a week ago publically agreed with his mainline pilots that labor relations have become toxic and that the management must become more accommodating? And
2) I find it interesting that, in the past PSA management has floated an email or other communications touting (or "spinning") the wonderful and exciting news that was announced at these town hall meetings. This time??? NOT A WORD!! No pdf from Dion, no happy-shiny email from Hoke, no cheerleading from Scrobola, not even a tersely-worded comment from Kernan! NOTHING! It's like the entire event didn't happen. I find that very odd and out of character.
