As a practical matter, Dion, Pedro, and whoever's running PDT these days have no authority to change anything, without the blessings of Parker. He's calling all of the shots at the wholly-owneds. I agree with you that Parker may hold the strings to bonuses and pay increases during a contract, but Dion is the one that could change the following: efficient high time lines, follow the current contract, reserve grid manipulation, scheduling department to be more pilot friendly, improve crew rooms sooner (sure would help commuters), user friendly employee website, fewer plane swaps, less DH, planes with less MELs, decision to hire DEC (this was short sighted thinking as it killed the ability to hire FOs as we have seen by the new hire class sizes) and the list goes on.
I know Dion does not run each area but it's his responsibility to oversee the entire operation and make changes for the betterment of our customers and employees. Happy employees sure help make happy customers!
My lack of confidence is based on all these factors and more.
